Yeah, that up there.
You probably heard of viruses on the news or the media, that it's killing millions of people. But before you scream in horror, let me assure you...
you can easily avoid them.
What is a virus?
Viruses are extremely small yet infectious agents (substance) with a simple composition. They are capable of infecting various types of life forms, ranging from small plants to animals, including humans.
Viruses also come in many sizes and structures. Viruses can be transferred through a variety of mediums (an area or substance in which something can be transmitted).
Viruses are capable of mass-reproducing themselves by invading a host's cell. The process of such infections are different depending on the type of the virus - the DNA type and the RNA type. Take a look at "INFECTION" .
A virus consist of a very simple composition. Its content include:
-
A genetic core (always either DNA - DeoxyNucleic Acid or RNA - RiboNucleic Acid but never both),
-
The capsid, a protein shell enveloping the virus,
-
An optional additional envelope of fat and protein (depending on the virus).
